The NFT collection "Thoughts Of Otherness" is an artwork made of thoughts oriented towards other people.
The project can be described as relational, performative, cumulative, open, based on wandering and encounters.
The main material of the piece is love and care for others.

We are a full-time liveaboard family: 2 parents and 3 children aged 4, 2, and 1, living onboard METEK, a 46 ft steel ketch.
We are currently sailing in the Mediterranean Sea. Of course, we would like to venture further!
Along our way, we collect thoughts from the people we meet.

In a port, on a beach or on our boat, I ask people to think about someone.
When they do, it generates a "Thought Of Otherness".
For each Thought I witness, I record basic descriptive information and authentication elements on a small paper slip.
Back on the boat, I stamp the slip, scan it, upload it and mint it as an NFT on a blockchain, along with the recorded data.
Thereby securely registered, each NFT certifies the authenticity of the occurence of a thought oriented towards someone.

The NFT collection is displayed on thoughtsofotherness.xyz in a basic register mode, where each slip is enhanced with position visualizations and Web3 information.
A blog version of the project is generated on Instagram, featuring additional contextual and journey-related details recorded in the 'description' metadata of each NFT.
The NFTs are also available for sale on OpenSea.

Each thought is recorded IRL on a paper slip. On each ticket, the following data is recorded:

• the number of the thought, as the thought are individually numbered in ascending order
• the date at which the thought has been recorded
• the time at which the thought has been recorded (local time and UTC)
• the name of the person who witness and gather the thought. Typically it will be me. But I let it open that some day someone else could gather the thoughts, for example my son when he is old enough. The person who witnes sthe thought signs the form.
• information about the subject, the person from which the thought is collected
• location where the thought is recorded
• information about the other, the person who is thought of
• location of the person who is thought of (it might be uncertain or even unknown, in which case it is specified)
• duration of the thought
• The ticket also include a sign/trace inscribed by the "thinker" with her own hand, as a basic authentication mark, plus an ink stamp of the project that contributes to authenticate the happening of the thought.
